The service
GarantieQC is an app that helps you track your purchases, calculate how long your warranties last and prepare your steps when you use the warranty of good working order provided by Québec's Consumer Protection Act. GarantieQC is an independent app. It is not affiliated with the Government of Québec or the Office de la protection du consommateur.
General information, not legal advice
The calculations, articles, letters and documents produced by the app are general information and templates. They do not replace advice from a lawyer or notary. You remain responsible for checking the information you enter and the documents you send. For official information, see the Office de la protection du consommateur.
Free version and purchases
The free version tracks up to 10 items and includes reminders, the coverage check, and the claim and formal notice letters. Optional purchases are offered in the app:
- GarantieQC+ (annual subscription): unlimited items, unlimited evidence files, automatic receipt reading and PDF inventory. The subscription renews automatically every year at the displayed price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the renewal date in Google Play (Settings, Payments and subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- GarantieQC+ Founder (one-time purchase): limited offer that unlocks GarantieQC+ features without a subscription, for the Google Play account that bought it, for as long as the app is offered.
- Claim Pass (one-time purchase): unlocks the evidence file and the small claims preparation checklist for one item.
Prices are shown in the app before purchase, plus applicable taxes as charged by Google Play. Payments, refunds and cancellations are handled by Google Play under its policies. If you reinstall the app, you can recover your purchases with the "Restore purchases" button.
Your data
Your data stays on your phone. Keep copies of your important receipts. Our privacy policy explains what is processed when you make a purchase.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms limits the rights granted to you by the Consumer Protection Act or any other law applicable in Québec.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version. Important changes will be announced in the app.
